About the Opportunity

Headwaters Talent Advisors is partnering with an established insurance brokerage seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Marketing Manager to lead its commercial lines marketing and placement function.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on insurance professional who understands carrier relationships, complex commercial placements, and team leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong technical insurance knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to develop effective marketing strategies that support both clients and producers.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a team of commercial insurance marketing professionals.
• Oversee new business and renewal placements across a variety of commercial lines.
• Build and strengthen relationships with insurance carriers, underwriters, and wholesale markets.
• Develop marketing strategies to secure competitive coverage, terms, and pricing.
• Partner with producers and account teams to navigate complex risks and placement challenges.
• Improve workflows, team performance, and overall marketing effectiveness.
• Support carrier negotiations and contribute to profitable business growth.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of commercial insurance marketing and placement experience.
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience working within an independent insurance agency or brokerage.
• Active New York Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance markets, underwriting, and carrier negotiations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Experience with Applied Epic is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary of $105,000–$140,000, based on experience, along with bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.
